UMMA - 9/21/25
This was an interdisciplinary continuation of my work with choreographer Fangfei Miao, that explores themes of self abandonment and apotheosis through textual justifications from Chinese Buddhism. The piece features a sonic installation involving sand sympathetically resonating with tuned metal plates which formulate the sonic backdrop of the work. This project was graciously funded by the Lieberthal-Rogel Centre for Chinese Studies & The University of Michigan Museum of Art.
